Receptions, various multi-day medical and scientific conferences, the annual beer festival, an event with royal guests, host site for VRT during De Warmste Week, conferences organized in the framework of the Belgian EU Presidency in 2024, and numerous corporate events: they are all part of BMCC’s impressive list of references.
“Returning clients are our ultimate reward”
“We are proud that, in just four years, we have become a trusted home for numerous clients,” says Director Sarah Cornand. “While it is typical in this sector for clients to regularly change locations, last year we succeeded in hosting more than half of our events for returning clients.”
BMCC can therefore present a remarkable track record. “We aim for excellence in everything we do. It is quite unique for a convention centre to also feature a 4,500 m² exhibition hall. We renamed our upper floor The View: we use this space for catering purposes or as an additional conference area, where visitors enjoy breathtaking views. Thanks to four top caterers — D’s Deldycke Traiteurs, Gourmet Invent, Cardinal and Coeur Catering — we consistently receive outstanding culinary feedback. From day one, we have placed strong emphasis on sustainability, illustrated by our Green Key label. Moreover, we remain the most accessible building in Flanders, which means we truly deserve our M+ label (a certificate from Visit Flanders for buildings that offer optimal facilities for people with disabilities).”
Juice Summit
The BMCC team prides itself on delivering a very high level of service, with a distinctly human approach. This was also appreciated by DDMC Event Design, a Belgian event agency that selected BMCC as the venue for the ‘Juice Summit’ in October 2025.
“With vibrant branding and colorful decoration, our building literally breathed fruity health during those two days,” Sarah continues. “450 participants, active across all levels of the juice industry, made use of all facilities — the auditorium, break-out rooms, exhibition hall, and The View — to discuss trends in their sector. As 80% of the visitors came from abroad and stayed an average of two nights in the city, we also significantly supported the local economy. The organisation had hosted this congress elsewhere in previous years, but they were fully convinced of our capabilities from the very first day here. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with them.”
Antoine Sanchez, Event Producer at DDMC, underlined his strong appreciation for the relatively young event venue in Bruges, which has quickly become a key player in the sector. “BMCC is a fantastic venue: elegant, efficient, and supported by a highly professional team. It made our event a true success.”
