bmcc joins flanders heritage venues network
Twelve new meeting and conference locations have joined the ‘Flanders Heritage Venues’ network of Tourism Flanders. These are inspiring and unique meeting locations with which we present Flanders internationally as a high-quality conference destination where experience prevails. The ‘Flanders Heritage Venues’ network now comprises 31 meeting venues in heritage locations all over Flanders.
The twelve new meeting locations are all heritage sites or offer an exceptional context. They successfully passed a thorough quality audit so that they make a lasting impression on international conference organisers and participants. Sustainability and Tourism Flanders’ ‘Reizen Naar Morgen’ strategy were also important criteria during the selection of these venues.
Flemish Minister of Tourism Zuhal Demir: ‘Now that conference tourism is back in full swing, we are also putting these 12 new venues on the international map to strengthen Flanders’ innovative capacity as a conference destination.’

The three new Flanders Heritage Venues in Bruges are the BMCC, the Concertgebouw, and la Brugeoise.
“The BMCC is excited to be part of the Flanders Heritage Venues. ‘Bruges’ is synonymous with ‘heritage’, and it is a logical step for the three largest Bruges venues to be part of this. The BMCC board is extremely pleased and is looking forward to collaborating with Tourism Flanders to further promote Bruges and the BMCC on the congress map,” said BMCC Director Sarah Cornand.
